He started as a freelancer in Copenhagen and has been employed by newspapers in Sweden such as Skånska Dagbladet, Länstidningen Södertälje, Expressen and Dagens Nyheter. Magnus has since then freelanced for publications like Dagens Nyheter, Veckans Affärer, Månadsjournalen, Diego, Fokus, Vagabond and the SAS inflight magazines Upp&Ner and Scanorama. He has also taken assignments from companies like Skanska, Nordea, Siemens, SAAB, Telenor, Bonnier AB, Kaupthing Bank, SAS, Atlas Copco, Wallenberg Foudation, Telge AB and Gevalia, organisations like the Red Cross, ABF and publishing houses like Bonniers, Norstedts and Natur & Kultur. Magnus has taken great interest in religion and the multicultural society. He contributed to the exhibition "Gud har 99 namn" ("God has 99 names") at Kulturhuset in Stockholm 1999. The next project led to the exhibition "Nio Nyår"("Nine New Years") at Stockholms Stadsmuseum 2002-2003, containing an innovative 1000 picture digital slide show portraying the ways Swedish immigrants celebrate new year´s eve all year around. The exhibition was on tour around Sweden 2003-2005. Magnus started the photomagazine/photographic platform Motiv in 2004 together with the photographers Susanne Walström, Helene Schmitz, August Eriksson, Pål Sommelius and Lena Granefelt. www.tidningenmotiv.se Motiv#4/Desire was combined with the exhibition The Mirror Between Us at Milliken Gallery, Stockholm May/June 2005. The last issue Motiv#14/The End was released in October 2008.
